The nesting box, redesigned

Collect clean eggs. Every single day.

The egg rolls 14 inches into a covered vault your hens cannot reach. Nothing pecked, nothing sat on, nothing to wash.

14-inch roll-out depth keeps chickens from reaching the eggs
What sets EggVault apart

Four things nobody else gives you

1
Chickens can't reach the eggs. Period.
Eggs roll a full 14 inches into a covered vault. No pecking, no egg eating, no scrubbing. Just easily accessed clean eggs.
2
Reversible layout
Mount it through the wall and gather eggs from outside, in your slippers, in the rain, without opening the coop door. Or mount it inside if cutting a wall is not in the plan. Same box, your call, decided at install.
3
The nest box built for winter heat
Other brands make you rig up a heat mat and hope it stays put. Our patent-pending heat tray gives it a proper home. Drop in the heating element your winters call for, mild or brutal. (Tray sold separately.)
4
Eggs that actually roll, every breed
Other boxes ship one fixed angle. Our patent-pending pitch adjusts, steeper for light breeds and gentler for heavy ones. Every egg makes it to the vault safely.

Adjustable floor pitch

Adjustable floor pitch

Every flock is different. Move the pin up or down the row and the nest floor changes angle, steep enough that a bantam's egg still rolls, gentle enough that a heavy breed's egg lands soft.

Everyone else ships one fixed angle and hopes it suits your birds.

Made in USA

Built in America, not overseas

We won't be the cheapest nesting box you can find online, and we're fine with that. Every EggVault is built and packed here, from steel we can trace, by people who answer your email.

Common questions

Which size do I need?

The 22 in. handles flocks up to about 20 hens. The 46 in. handles up to about 50, including small commercial egg rooms. For heavy breeds, drop about 5 hens from each figure, and if you're between sizes, size up.

Can a hen get into the vault?

No. The vault is simply deeper than a hen can reach. The egg rolls a full 14 inches back under a cover, past the point where she can stand, turn, or stretch her neck.

Can I collect eggs without going into the coop?

Yes. The EggVault is reversible, so you can mount it through the coop wall and open the vault from outside. No door, no boots, no walking through the flock at 6am. The opening is smaller than most people expect. The small box needs 5.25 by 23 inches. The large box needs 5.25 by 47 inches. That is a jigsaw and maybe an hour, not a remodel. If cutting a wall is not in the plan, mount it inside instead. Same box, same everything, you just collect from within the coop.

How long does assembly take?

If you have all of the tools in front of you, 20-30 minutes. See the assembly manuals below for step-by-step instructions.

How do I clean it?

Shake the liner as needed. Sometimes a quick hose down is needed as well.

Will eggs freeze in winter?

In an ordinary box they can. Our patent-pending Heat Tray attaches to the bottom of the floor and holds whatever heating element your winters call for, a small mat for mild climates or a stronger one up north. Sold separately.

How fast do you ship?

Most orders ship within 3 business days. You get tracking by email as soon as your vault is on its way.
